Student (Sebastian): "What is your favorite food?"
Me: "I like Mexican food."
Sebastian (to his friend in German): "Hahaha! Mexican food gives you diarrhea!! (*makes fart noise*) hahaha!"
Student (Mariana): "Können Sie Deutsch?" (Can you speak German?)
Me: "No."
Side note: I am telling the students that I can't speak German, because that makes it easier for them to speak English. If they knew I could speak German, they would only speak German with me and use me as a walking dictionary. Therefore, I tell them I can't speak German. We'll see if I tell them the truth in February (when I change schools)!

Isn't it kinda obviously that you speak German when you answer a question...in German.
